Golden State Warriors: 2009-10 Transactions Empty
PostSubject: Golden State Warriors: 2009-10 Transactions   Golden State Warriors: 2009-10 Transactions I_icon_minitimeThu Apr 29, 2010 7:04 am

Warriors Open Season with BLOCKBUSTER Trade

Transaction:

Suns: Amare Stoudemire $17.03M 2011, $2M stipend against Amare's contract, and G Leandro Barbosa $7.1M 2011+

-In Exchange for-

Warriors: Stephen Jackson $8.86M 2014 and C Andris Biedrins $9M 2013

+4.27M Against the Cap.

Analysis:
Disgruntled Warriors Floorleader Captian Jack who's recent behavior has been deemed detrimental to the team, and has made public demands for a trade has been shipped off to Phoenix for Superstar All Star Center Amare Stoudemire. The Warriors take a significant step forward talent wise and now sport a frontline of Anthony Randolph and Amare, one which should be a formidable force for this season and seasons to come. The Dynasty Begins..

The GS Warriors and Detroit Pistons have agreed to the following trade:

Warriors Send:
Corey Maggette $10.45M 2013 and Kelenna Azubuike $3.2M 2010+

-for-

Detroit:
Al Thornton $2.36M 2011 and Jamario Moon $3M 2011

-$8.29M for GSW

Analysis:

GM: "We've picked up two very in-expensive Wingmen who are athletic and contribute to every cat. except assists. We've placed an emphasis on building a contender while keeping our cost down, this is a step in the right direction and should serve as an example of how the organization will continue to strategize.

The Return of Agent Zero

Trade with the Houston Rockets:

Monta Ellis $11M 2014
Jamario Moon $3M 2011 (2009-10 paid for by GSW)

for

Gilbert Arenas $19.2M 2015 (2011-End HOU pays $3M)

Analysis:

Trading Young Talented PG Monta Ellis for Arenas was a bold move, however the Franchise Upgrades their floorleader as Arenas at the top of the game is undoubtedly one the current 'Greats' in the NBA.

WARRIORS EARLY BLOCKBUSTERS KEEPING ON COMING

The Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors have agreed to the following trade:

Amare Stoudemire $17.03M 2011(Suns already paying $2M in '10 and '11)
Leandro Barbosa $7.1M 2011
->GSW agrees to Pay Barbosa's 2010 Salary($0) and $1M of Amare's in 2010($14.03M)

$14.03M

for

Danny Granger $12M 2014
Roy Hibbert $1.95M 2012++

13.95 +($8.1M from me) = $22.05M

+8.02M GSW
-8.02M IND

Warriors GM: I'm pleased to have briefly owned one of my favorite players in Amare Stoudemire who's in his own right a top 10 fantasy player, but I've decided to maximize my investment and target equivalent or comparable value with longer contracts, even it means paying a higher rate this year to secure 2extra years on a pivotal part of my teams success. Hibbert still faces his own prolific foul rate per game which in the short term minimizes his mins. on the floor but his potential coupled with his price makes him worthwhile for Barbosa who is instant offense in a high uptemto offense.

Analysis:

Newly acquired Amare Stoudemire and Leandro Barbosa were traded for Indiana duo up and coming Superstar Danny Granger, and young C Roy Hibbert in a blockbuster deal, that reshapes the face of each franchise. The Warriors send $8M in cash considerations for the 2010 season in order to secure longer contracts at very affordable prices.

Trade with the Chicago Bulls

Bulls trade

G/F John Salmons $5.63M 2010+
C Joakim Noah $2.79 2010+

Warriors Trade

G Stephen Curry $3.18M 2011++
F Al Thornton $2.36M 2011
F/C Ronny Turiaf $4.17M 2011+

-1.29M against cap.

Analysis:

GM: We get a bit older with this move but in the short term, the pieces are coming together to build a legit title contending team. With dual eligibility Salmons provides versatility and is a good model of what to expect of Curry in future years, with maybe less assists since he's an off guard and not a point. The addition of Noah, is really what sealed the deal, he's young gritty, and climbing up the Center tier rapidly in the NBA. We're quite pleased with this move.

And Another One....

The Warriors Send: Anthony Randolph, John Salmons, Brandan Wright, and 2011 1st and 2010 2nd Rd. Picks to the LA Clippers in exchange for: Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Marcus Camby, and their 2010 1st Rd. Pick. Deal is Pending Approval...

Update RESULT: APPROVED Nov, 24th.

Analysis: The GSW Franchise showed impeccable maneuvering in being able to move their most prized young player in Anthony Randolph while getting equally hyped and high upside players Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin. A high draft pick and the expiring Contract of Marcus Camby was simply icing on the cake.

Warriors Trade:
C Roy Hibbert $1.95M 2012++

Spurs Trade:
F Al Harrington $10.03M 2010 FA (Knicks will be Paying Salary)

Analysis: With Team Leader Danny Granger out for 4-6weeks and thats on the minimum side of estimations, in order to keep up, A bit more production needed to be acquired. The Warriors show even in times of minor crisis the necessary moves are done to keep their team at a competitive level

+1.95M SAS

END OF AGENT ZERO?

With the latest season ending suspension and possibility of the Wizards seeking to void Arenas' contract, the Warriors have opted to ship out Gilbert Arenas to the 76ers for unfriendly cap players Andre Miller and Elton Brand. While signed until 2012, these aging and declining players still have enough in the tank to be coupled with the promising young players the Warriors have stockpiled to make a title run this year and seasons to come.

Warriors Trade:
G Gilbert Arenas $19M (3M Paid every year 2011-2014 by houston rockets)

for

Sixers Trade:

F - Elton Brand $16.51 M 2013
G - Andre Miller $7.27 M 2011+
+4.51M

*Sigh of Relief* Got rid of Brand's Monster Contract. Now Time to get rid of Crawfords. And already got a deal lined up!

Warriors Trade:

Eric Gordon $3.23M 2011+
2010 MEM 1st

Nets Trade:

Devin Harris $8.8M 2013 (3M paid 2010, 2M paid 2011)

Stipulation: If Harris averages more than 21ppg and 7ast next year, the Warriors will pay 2m in a player's contract to the Nets in 2012.

GSW: We needed a more uptempo young guard that was proficient in the assists/stls area, a void which was left by the departure of Gilbert Arenas, unfortunately we had to move a coveted young player in Eric Gordon, whom the franchise was really fond of, but overall we're very pleased with this move.
